(Reuters) – The Federal Communications Commission said on Tuesday it is investigating why consumers in many U.S. states are unable to make wireless calls.
AT&T (NYSE:) said in a statement: “There is a nationwide issue that is impacting customers’ ability to make cross-carrier calls. Operators work as quickly as possible to diagnose and resolve the problem.”
The FCC and New York Attorney General Letitia James said in February they were investigating the cause of AT&T’s outage earlier that month, as well as the telecom company’s response. The outage lasted up to 12 hours.
