(Reuters) – U.S. forces destroyed three Iranian-backed Houthi unmanned surface ships in the Red Sea in the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday.
Separately, the Houthis fired three anti-ship ballistic missiles into the Gulf of Aden, but neither the U.S., coalition nor merchant vessels reported injuries or significant damage, CENTCOM added.
US Central Command also called recent claims of a successful Houthi attack on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier “categorically false.”
