SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s presidential security chief Park Chung-jun plans to appear for questioning by police on Friday, a security official said.
Investigators seeking to arrest impeached South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol for possible insurrection were blocked by his security forces in a six-hour standoff last week.
“Park Jung-joon, head of the Presidential Security Service, is scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. on the 10th at the request of the police to conduct an investigation,” said Jin Seon-ho, a public information officer.
