RWA App recently integrated with Near, an innovative layer-1 blockchain. With this new integration, RWA’s database now tracks over $630 million in tokenized treasuries and stablecoins on the network. Near Protocol is a layer-1 blockchain network that provides developers with a platform to build decentralized applications. It is faster and cheaper than Ethereum, and is claimed to be faster than some of its largest competitors.
When fully completed, Near is estimated to be able to process up to 100,000 transactions per second (TPS). It allows users and developers to interact across multiple ecosystems from a single account. RWA App offers an application where users can access all of the tokenized assets of the real world in one place.
Real-world assets (RWAs) are a class of crypto tokens that represent tangible assets outside of the digital spectrum. Using RWAs allows these assets to find a place in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, which helps increase the availability of financial instruments that are usually difficult to obtain and opens up new application opportunities. Near Protocol is one of the most notable blockchains when measured by the growth of tokenized assets, as shown by the current TVL, which represents a significant increase from $54 million in early 2024.
