(Reuters) – Accounting giant PWC will become the largest customer and first reseller of artificial intelligence startup OpenAI’s enterprise product under a new deal, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
OpenAI and PWC did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comment.
According to the report, PWC will release a version of Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s flagship chatbot aimed at large enterprises – ChatGPT Enterprise.
The report added that the accounting firm will provide ChatGPT to its 75,000 employees in the US and 26,000 employees in the UK, totaling more than 100,000 licenses for OpenAI’s artificial intelligence product.
The OpenAI agreement is part of the $1 billion PWC said last year it would invest in generative AI technologies, the report said, citing a PWC spokesperson.
