(Reuters) – Microsoft Corp is telling some of its customers that a Russian state-sponsored hacking group has broken into their internal systems and gained access to their email, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing a company spokesman.
The tech giant also provides pre-notified customers with details about what data was taken, the report said.
Microsoft (NASDAQ:) did not immediately respond to a Reuters email request for comment, and calls to representatives went unanswered.
The company also said in January that a Russian state-sponsored group hacked its corporate systems and stole some emails and documents from employee accounts.
