Gretta Fenner, managing director of the Basel Institute of Management, died in a car accident. The institute published news of her death on Monday and said Fenner was “an extraordinary force for change in the fight against corruption.”
Fenner, who also served as director of the institute’s International Center for Asset Recovery, led the organization from 2005 to 2008. She later resumed her post from 2011 to April 2024.
Fenner has been a speaker and advisor on anti-corruption, asset recovery, business integrity and broader government issues.
