Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the index and sectors led shares higher.
At the close of trading in Tel Aviv, shares added 1.29%.
The best performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:) which rose 4.19% or 950.00 points to trade at 23,650.00 at the close. Harel (TASE:) rose 3.49%, or 114.00 points, to close at 3,379.00, while Bezeq Israel Telecommunications Corp Ltd (TASE:) rose 3.32%. or 14.80 points, and completed trading at 460.00.
The worst performers of the session were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:), which fell 1.12% or 130.00 points to close at 11,450.00. OPK Energy Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.85% or 23.00 points to finish at 2,686.00, while Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.50% or 60.00 points at 11,910.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 263 to 181, while 95 ended unchanged.
Oil for May delivery fell 0.42%, or 0.35, to $82.34 a barrel. In commodities trading, Brent crude for June delivery fell 0.55%, or 0.48, to $86.81 a barrel, while the June gold futures contract rose 0.30%, or 7.05. , up to $2,395.45 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.08% at 3.79 and EUR/ILS was unchanged 0.01% at 4.04.
US Dollar Index futures rose 0.10% to 105.87.
