Dominic WILLIAMS, Chief Scientist at the DFINITY Foundation, shared major updates to the Internet Computer blockchain protocol. The updated Internet Computer deck detailed new developments in the decentralized “World Computer” network. The document said that ICP’s native applications boast resilience to cyberattacks. Improved security paves the way for easier blockchain-based website development and reduced application administration requirements, according to the deck.
The information provided by Williams also revealed that ICP’s new software enables advanced AI features. Developers can train AI models on the network to “design, build, deploy, and handoff” applications. ICP has also implemented automated processes for decentralized autonomous organizations and on-chain governance. In other words, an AI model can manage tasks when community members submit proposals.
The DAO AI tools on ICP can also finalize the parameters of a proposal if it receives community approval, reducing the likelihood of human and coding errors. Williams and the DFINITY Foundation noted that these upgrades have significantly increased the computing power on the ICP network, with the updated deck highlighting a 500% increase in this area year-over-year.
