HOUSTON (Reuters) – U.S. oil producer Chevron (NYSE:) will make a donation to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration fund, a company spokesman said Thursday, declining to specify the amount.
The company joins other major US firms, including Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:), Goldman Sachs and Amazon (NASDAQ:), in contributing to Trump’s inauguration ceremony on January 20.
“Chevron has a long tradition of celebrating democracy by supporting inaugural committees of both parties. We’re proud to do it again this year,” said spokesman Bill Turenne.
