AIOZ Network recently signed a new partnership with the University of Aberdeen to further advance medical imaging. The partnership is focused on solving emerging technologies for 3D reconstruction of instruments used in endovascular procedures. The main goal is to improve the process of medical imaging and visualization, which plays a crucial role in surgery and medical fields in general.
The research project will use AIOZ’s DePIN, or Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network. This technology is best suited for secure information exchange, which is a prerequisite for managing large medical data sets. The implementation of DePIN technology will increase the speed of research and the quality of data obtained for medical imaging.
Procedures such as endovascular surgeries, which are performed in and around blood vessels, require detailed images to position and confirm the functionality of the instruments used. The process of reconstructing these instruments in 3D from imaging data is a complex task, and solving it could potentially change the precision of surgery and possibly even save lives.
