Shares Dell Technologies And Super Micro Computer jumped Thursday after Elon Musk said two hardware makers would provide servers to help his artificial intelligence startup xAI develop a supercomputer.
“Dell is building half of the racks that will go into the supercomputer that xAI is building,” Musk told X. mailadding that Super Micro will also participate.
Super Micro shares are up more than 8% in recent trading, while Dell shares are up 1%.
