Key figures from the Web3 sphere were brought together to form three debating teams: Team DeFi, Team Real-World, and Team Chains.
Each team offered profound insights and expert predictions on the trajectory of blockchain technology.
Team DeFi: finance and culture
Jonah Lau, VP and Head of Portfolio at Animoca Brands, and Andrea Baglioni, Head of Capital at Solana Foundation, spearheaded Team DeFi.
They advocated for the mainstream adoption of games, meme coins, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) while highlighting DeFi’s potential to create a global, unrestricted financial system and address issues like climate change.
Team Real-World: bridging TradFi and Web3
Philip McMaster, Principal Researcher at McMaster Institute at ConscienceLAND, and Grover, Head of Marketing at Sei, represented Team Real-World.
Their focus was on bringing blockchain technology to the mainstream and solving significant global challenges.
They also discussed the transformative potential of real-world assets (RWA) and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN).
Team Chains: building the blockchain infrastructure
Jerome Ong, APAC Ecosystem Lead at Aptos, and Joaquin Mendes Izard, Head of Partnerships at Taiko, led Team Chains.
The team delved into artificial intelligence (AI) and its integration in the Web3 space.
Key Bybit milestones and the road ahead
Bybit Web3 took the opportunity to celebrate reaching a milestone of 10 million wallets.
Emily Bao, Bybit Web3 Evangelist, highlighted the company’s integration across 30+ blockchains and the successful launch of Bybit Web3’s DEX Pro decentralized trading product.
