“In July, we migrated Mythical Market to Polkadot, and we are currently in the process of migrating both the Blankos collection to Mythical Market and D-Market to Polkadot. This transition amounts to more than 5 million wallets being migrated to the network,” shared Kasper Joergensen, CFO of Mythical Games, in a recent story with Investing.com.
Mythical Games, known for popular titles like NFL Rivals, is leveraging Polkadot’s capabilities as a parachain. This move not only utilizes Polkadot’s EVM module for address compatibility but also allows developers to work with the WebAssembly-based Substrate framework, creating a robust foundation for their ecosystem.
According to Joergensen, DMarket stands out as the largest NFT collection globally, boasting daily sales exceeding $600,000 and approximately 25,000 transactions involving the buying and selling of in-game assets. While Mythical Market primarily manages transactions for NFL Rivals, it will soon incorporate additional collections such as Blankos, Nitro Nation, and others.
Strategic Expansion into Polkadot
As Mythos extends its reach, the migration of Mythical Market and NFT collections like Blankos and DMarket to Polkadot signals a strategic expansion. John Linden, CEO of Mythical Games, emphasized that integrating Mythical Market into Polkadot aims to bolster the secondary trading of gaming assets.
The platform’s decentralized framework ensures all transactions on the Mythos Chain are secure and transparent, positioning it as a formidable player in the gaming blockchain arena, trailing only major layer 1 chains like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and Polygon.
With a team of seasoned gaming industry veterans, Mythical Games is dedicated to creating games centered around player-owned economies. The company has also contributed to the development of renowned franchises, including Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Marvel Strike Force, and Skylanders.
Empowering Gamers with Versatile Wallet Solutions
The Mythical Platform offers both custodial and non-custodial gaming wallets for digital assets, catering to newcomers to blockchain while empowering advanced users to link their wallets through bridges between the Mythical Chain and public mainnets.
As Mythos continues to grow, the synergy between Mythical Games and Polkadot showcases the potential for innovative gaming experiences in the evolving blockchain landscape.
